Six short stories by Jerome K Jerome. In "Passing of the Third Floor Back" , he focuses on a run-down boarding house in London, home to assorted residents. Many of them cling precariously to their social positions. When a mysterious stranger moves into the squalid house he manages to swiftly change the lives of everyone who comes into contact with him. Though initially an outcast, this new tenant soon earns the respect of his neighbors and eventually becomes the one they turn to when in need of help.

Condition

Fair, a reading copy only. The wrapper has loss to the head of the spine and rear panel but is now within a protective sleeve. The book is foxed with some straining to the binding but is still in good readable condition.
