An alphabetical Japanese to English dictionary, with small illustrations within the text. Francis Brinkley (1841–1912) was an Anglo-Irish newspaper owner, editor and scholar who lived in Japan for over 40 years. He was the author of numerous books on Japanese culture, art and architecture as well as this dictionary, and was Cyril Connolly's great uncle.
Condition
Poor. A reference copy only. The green cloth is heavily battered, the joints cracked and exposed but the main body of text is in usable condition and the dictionary is complete.
