Full title: The Book of Etiquette, The Complete Standard Work of Reference on Social Usages

Scarce to find this classic book (it remained in print until 1987) in both volumes and with the dustwrappers present. This book gives the correct etiquette for all manner of functions from funerals to booking into a hotel, from greeting a duchess to the etiquette of the sports field, from royal and ambassadorial etiquette to how to deport yourself as a business woman... This book was given to the cast members of the film Gosford Park (2002) so they could familiarise themselves with the correct manner of the time.

Condition

The books are in strong readable condition, but foxed to the page edges, and with lighter scattered foxing to the pages, heaviest to the rear f volume one. The blue cloth binding is in very good condition. The dustwrappers are a little chipped to the head of the spines and with light overall wear but remain in good order and rare to find complete in such an early edition.
