A Shell Guide, this one covering Buckinghamshire, its history, geography, natural history etc, with a two colour maps and illustrated throughout with black and white photographs, and reproductions of art by John and Paul Nash etc on pink paper. John Nash contributes leaf design endpapers and a preface. There is an Edward Bawden advert for Shell on the last page.
Condition
Fair condition. The front cover is nearly detached and creased to the lower corner, and the spiral binding has a horizontal crack about 6cm down from the top. The rest of the text is in good, readable condition.
