A selection of poems by serving members of the Women's Land Army during the Second World. Some had been published in 'The Land Girl', the wartime magazine for the Land Army. Vita Sackville-West here provides an introduction, and was responsible for the selection.

Poets include: Enid Barraud, Barbara Barton, June Benians, Marjory Browne, Frances heneage Burkitt, Molly Capes, Alice Coats, Audrey Hancock, Audrey hewlett, Daphne Hudson, Margaret Hunt, Inez M Jenkins, Hebe Jerrold, Jean Moncrieff, Joyce Oehring, Doreen Strange, and Phyllis White.

Condition

There is discoloration from the glue used for binding which has bled through around the spine, and some other fainter marking to the cover's edges. The front hinge is starting to wear a little. The main body of text is in very good condition, with clean pages and secure binding.
