This is a 1937 handwritten guide to The Fjords of Norway, subtitled "A concise guide intended principally for passengers landing from Cruising Steamers". Arranged by location from North to South, starting in Aalesund and ending in Stavanger, via Nauste, Aardal, Laerdal, Bergen, and many other places. Each location has a recommended hotel (eg the Hotel Union in Oye, or the Alexandra Hotel in Loen). There are 14 small black and white snaps on 7 pages, and two maps (one of Bergen, and one of the area covered by the text). The maps are printed and taken from other publications.

The author, James Craig, was the 2nd Viscount Craigavon (1906–1974). Educated at Eton, he served in the Royal Navy in the Second World War before becoming Liaison and Entertainments Officer on the Orient Line and the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O).

Condition

Good condition. Some tanning and minor abrasions to the covers, the contents in good, strong readable condition.
