Undated, early 1970s. Assumed first thus. Hardback, rebound in fine half morocco, five raised bands and simple gilt titling to spine. 27 × 18cm, unpaginated.
A complete run of high-quality Magnet issue facsimiles from No 1401 to 1412. There is no Howard Baker imprint on the pages in the usual pages but presumably they are the publisher.
The stories were originally published 1934/1935, and the main stories from each issue here are: 1401 Christmas at Hilton; 1402 Hunted Down; 1403 The Fugitive of the Moor; 1404 Coker's Cousin Comes to Greyfriars; 1405 The Mischief-Maker of the Remove; 1406 Down on His Luck; 1407 Fool's Luck; 1408 The Schemer of the Remove; 1409 The Remove's Remarkable Recruit; 1410 The Unseen Witness; 1411 The Fifth Form Mystery; and 1412 Coker the Reformer.
I haven't been able to locate this exact collation in the Greyfriars bibliographies, so perhaps it was lovingly curated by the previous owner.
Condition
This copy is in very good condition. The contents have some tonal difference in the pages but they are clean and uncreased.
As of October 2026, books remain duty-free. The price of the book incurs no extra import duty fees.
