Printing Details

A complete run of Magnet issue facsimiles from No 764 to 778, and presumably rebound by a previous owner in a fine leather binding. The issues were originally published in 1922/23. The series covers the famous 1922 Congo story by Frank Richards, opening with issue #764 ("Fishy the Footballer!") and progressing through the West African/Congo expedition storyline involving Harry Wharton & Co., Fisher T. Fish, and Captain Corkran.and contain the stories Fishy the Footballer (764), The Footballers’ Foe (765), Loder’s Long Trail (766), Bunter’s Lawsuit (767), The Man From the Congo (768), Bound For Africa (769), Harry Wharton & Co. In Africa (770), Lost in the Congo (771), King Bunter of the Congo (772), On the Ivory Trail (773), The Black Man at Greyfriars (774), The Call From the Air (775), The Ghost of Mauleverer Towers, (776) Mauly’s cousin, Ponsonby’s Revenge (777), and The Jap of Greyfriars (778—this last one was the first story of 1923).
I haven't been able to locate a volume number for this particular set in the Greyfriars bibliographies, so perhaps it was lovingly curated by the previous owner.
