The Great War diary of Thomas Anthony Havelock Nash who served with the 16th Battalion, Manchester Regiment between 1914 and 1918, including the bloody fighting around Montauban in 1916 where of his battalion, 565 men were killed or wounded (out of 850), and 16 of 22 officers were lost. The diary has been edited by his son, Thomas Anthony Megson Nash who served in the Second World War.
