A rare French Great War memorial volume. This booklet is a tribute to Aimé Charles Antoine Seillière de Laborde (born October 16, 1898, at the Château d'Ognon; died September 27, 1918). He was a young French soldier and Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur who died near the end of World War I at age 19. He was the son of Baron Ernest-Antoine Aimé Léon Seillière (1866–1955), the prominent French biographer, critic, and member of the Académie française.

Illustrated with a portrait of the young Aimé by Jacques-Émile Blanche, and a photograph of a bronze of Aimé as an army officer by Denys Puech.

Condition

Fair to good condition. The covers are heavily foxed, with a small tear to the base of the spine. The pages are clean but age-toned, and the booklet remains in strong readable condition.
