An interesting Great War book in which the father of a serving officer airs his views on the War. He candidly articulates the internal conflict between personal fear for his son's survival and a sense of duty toward the Allied cause. The son was Lieutenant Coningsby Dawson, a well-known Canadian officer, novelist, and war memoirist whose Great War writings were widely read.
Condition
A good copy. The pages are clean and the inner binding secure. There is a little rubbing to the blue cloth and tanning to the prelims and page edges but remaining in strong readable condition.
