This copy has the armorial bookplate of James Macdonald to the front pastedown.
A collection of the laws passed at Parliament concerning Scotland, under the reigns of James VII, King William and Queen Mary, King William (alone), and Queen Anne, with each section having its own title page from Robert Freebairn, for example the opening title pages reads "The Acts Made in the First Parliament of Our Most High and Dread Sovereign, James VII. By the Grace of God, King of Great Britaine, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith &c. Holden at Edinburgh, April 23, 1685, etc". A previous owner has neatly inked in the date of most proceedings and acts under their title.
Please note this volume covers until 1607, being an odd volume, despite the spine stating 1685–1770.
Condition
This copy is in good condition for age. The leather is scuffed to the spine, and rubbed to the edges. The contents well bound and the pages clean, with occasional ink annotation not affecting text.
