In two sections, the first is tales of detection and mystery and contains Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes, The priory School), Edgar Allan Poe, Ernest Bramah, E C Bentley, R Austin Freeman, G K Chesteron etc. The second section is mystery and horror and is a wealth of writing from Charles Dickens, M R James, Saki, Oliver Onions, Arthur Machen, E F Benson, May Sinclair, J S Le Fanu, Bram Stoker, Barry Pain and more.

Condition

There is some tanning to the page edges, a few water marks to the upper board where the sheen has been lost, and the titling is rubbed a little to the spine, but the contents are in good order and the inner binding secure.
