From her service in the Great War, the goes on to describe how she was recalled to the WRNS to refound and lead it for the duration, and in particular her mission to expand the tasks available to females and the eventual integration of the WRNS into the permanent post-war Royal Navy establishment. Illustrated with photographs.

A good readable copy but with some bumping to the boards. Previous owner's inscription to the ffep.
