A play by Muriel and Sydney Box, and one of the dramas they wrote for an all-woman cast. A brief skim reveals this play begins on an ocean liner which sinks, and six women find themselves on an island... Muriel Box (1905–1991) was a trailblazing British film director, screenwriter, and publisher who used her prolific career in a male-dominated industry to advocate for women’s liberation. As one of the UK’s most prominent female filmmakers, she directed 13 feature films and co-founded Femina, the first feminist publishing company in Britain.
Condition
Good condition. There is edgewear to the covers, some creasing to the corners and age-toning to the pages. It appears a production cast's name have been pencilled in over the dramatis personae. The book remains in strong readable condition.
