Julian Jebb (the grandson of Hilaire Belloc) was an influential BBC television producer, director, arts journalist, and critic. He was a brilliant, charismatic, and bohemian figure who pioneered arts programming but struggled intensely with his mental health and alcoholism, in 1984 he tragically died of an overdose of Heminevrin. This book collects reminiscences, tributes, letters, and fragments from a wide array of people, including Patrick Leigh Fermor, Germaine Greer, Barry Humphries, Patricia Highsmith and so on, as well as some of Jebb's own material and interviews with the likes of Evelyn Waugh and Elizabeth Bowen.
Condition
Whilst this book is basically sound and in strong readable condition there is a stain to the rear board and the blue dye has bled to the inner side of the wrapper. Otherwise a good copy, with some light wear to the wrapper's edges.
