This is the signature of Catherine Sinclair (1800–1864), a Scottish author. It has been cut from the base of a letter and is dated 2nd March 1841, sent from 133 George Street, Edinburgh.
The signature is laid down on brown card (with a previous owner's annotation), and then on another piece of card. The whole measures 8.5 × 13cm.
Condition
Good condition. There is a little light tanning to the letter paper but Sinclair's signature is crisp and clear.
