This is the signature and seal of Charles John Kean (1811–1868), the Irish-born actor and theatre manager, and son of the Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean.
The signature is on a piece of card measuring approx. 12 × 19cm, with Kean's autograph running the whole width. He has dated it Edinburgh, 22nd March 1841 and his red wax seal is present.
Condition
Good condition. The card is a little unevenly cut and the red wax seal isn't the clearest impression but it remains a nice example.
