A collection of 284 of Aesop's fables, wonderfully illustrated with thirteen colour plates and 53 black-and-white drawings (19 full page drawings and 34 vignettes, silhouettes etc).
Condition
Fair condition. The green cloth binding is heavily mottled to the fore edge of both front and rear boards. The inner binding is a little strained, and the front hinge is cracked. The text pages are in good condition, with light and infrequent foxing. All colour plates are present. Previous owner's gift inscription to ffep. A good readable copy.
