Not signed but with some handwritten annotations to page 66 and a copy of a three page typed document loosely inserted containing additions and corrections.
A privately printed historical book that traces the lineage, genealogy, and historical accounts of the Tufnell family. The family originated in Bedfordshire and later branched into Hertfordshire and Middlesex. It includes an account of the Tufnells of Langleys from Great Waltham, Essex (the primary seat for the family). The book has 12 full page plates (portraits, manors etc) and a fascinating chapter of the Great War service of the 27 family members that served and the text of a letter from Brigadier-General Arthur Wyndham Tufnell describing the evacuation of Gallipoli.
Condition
Good to fair condition. The front cover is marked, and there is some fraying to the front hinge. There is some tanning to page edges but the main body of text is in good condition, and all plates are present as per the plate index.
