Printing Details
First edition. Hardback, bound in quarter cloth with paper covered boards, printed titling to spine and upper board. 19 × 12.5cm, 132pp.
Published in the Artistic Crafts Series of Technical Handbooks (edited by W R Lethaby), this is F Morley Fletcher's description of the craft of woodcutting and colour printing based on the Japanese practice, illustrated with line drawings within the text but also 23 half-tone reproductions of various examples of printing, and an original print designed and cut by the author.
Condition
Good plus condition. There is fading to the paper covered boards, and a small dark mark to the upper board. The contents are in good clean condition, a little spotted foxing to the page edges and margins but otherwise remaining in strong readable condition. The author's own woodcut is in very good order.
Books are currently zero-rated for duty (as of June 2026), so the price shown is the price you pay.
