Five Angus MacVicar Lost Planet titles (1957–1960)

Here are five titles from Angus MacVicar's Lost Planet series, all are hardbacks in dustwrapper, with two being the first printing. They are all published by Burke of London. The first title's dustwrapper is by C W Bacon, the following four are by Patricia Cullen.

1. The Lost Planet (1957, sixth impression). Slight loss to the wrapper's edges and light foxing to the page edges.

2. Return to the Lost Planet (1958, reprint). Wrapper light worn to edges, slight bend to the boards.

3. Secret of the Lost Planet (1959, reprint). Wrapper creased to top edge, foxing to page edges and title page.

4. Red Fire on the Lost Planet (1959, first printing). Slight warp to boards, light wear to wrapper's edges.

5. Peril on the Lost Planet (1960, first printing). Slight warp to the boards and foxing to page edges.

The last two titles are quite scarce in the first edition form.

Condition

Apart from the details above, all were previously owned by a smoker and have a tobacco odour (which should recede in time). As mentioned: some warping to the boards, foxing to page edges, and wear to the wrapper's edges but remaining readable copies. Return and Secret published as part of the Falcon Library and are bound without endpapers.
