First editions thus (first printing in the pocket edition). Hardbacks, bound in soft dark blue leather with gilt titling to spine and blindstamped WP to upper board. Top edge gilt. Each 17.5 × 11cm, pagination below.
Four titles from Walter Pater:
1. Marius the Epicurean, His Sensations and Ideas. 351pp. Very good condition, with gilt Christ's Hospital crest in gilt to upper board.
2. Imaginary Portraits. 180pp. Condition as above.
3. The Renaissance. 252pp. Similar to the above.
4. Appreciations, with an Essay on Style. 274pp. Again very good, this copy without the school crest but with an ownership inscription from the same pupil.

All four books are in very good condition.
