Shaw's Parish Law was a standard legal text of the 18th century, this extensive work on Parish Law gave guidance on such subjects as The Poor Laws, roads and highways, law and order (guidelines for local Constables and Justices of the Peace on executing warrants, indictments, and commitments), and Ecclesiastical Duties (regulating the conduct and bounds of ministers, churchwardens, and vestry clerks.)

Condition
Good condition for age. The leather is rubbed and bumped, with some pockmarks to the boards but is nevertheless intact. The contents remains well-bound, the pages clean if a little age-toned. Previous owner's handwritten name to ffep and first page of dedication (W Osborne, 1752). Overall, a good copy, condition commensurate with age.
