Published in 1948 to mark the centenary of the deaths of Emily Brontë (d. 1848), Branwell Brontë (d. 1848), and Anne Brontë (d. 1849), Ernest Raymond here traces the lives, literary careers and travels of the Bronte family of Haworth Parsonage. Illustrated with photographs, the book explores the landscapes of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, and the Bronte's travels to London and Brussels.
This first edition is surprisingly uncommon in dustwrapper.
Condition
The book is in very good condition, with some toning to the paper and a hint of mustiness. The dustwrapper is creased a little to the edges but remains attractive. The wrapper has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
