Printing Details
Hardback, in a mechanical post-binding (to allow for additions). Gilt titling to cover. 29 × 23cm, unpaginated but substantial.
This manual was published in 1943 by the Master-General of the Ordnance to standardize the upkeep of military transport during the height of the war. Its subjects are divided by page markers to the fore-edge. The first half appears to be general maintenance and regulations, the second half is concerning "B" vehicles, which refers to soft-skinned support vehicles, including trucks, motorcycles, and utility vehicles. Among the trucks are Ford and Chevrolet, there is Harley Davidson in the motorcycles, and other vehicles include Indian motorcyles, universal carriers, and passenger cars.
Condition
This copy is in good condition for age, and in the original folder. There is some crinkling to the pages and some wear to the title tags but it remains in good readable condition. I can't confirm how complete it is (all sections but "A" general vehicles has pages) but there is plenty of information.
Books are currently zero-rated for duty (as of May 2026), so the price shown is the price you pay.
