A single issue from 1949 of Our Time, a left-wing magazine designed to bring art and culture to the common man. The editorial commission included Montagu Slater, Charles Hobday and Arnold Rattebury, and other members of the Salisbury Group (a group of leading Communists, named after the London pub where they met) who were closely associated with the magazine.
This issue has a fine Jazz pen and ink design by John Minton titled "Jam Sesseion" on the front cover, and has articles on film-making (Oswell Blakiston), a short stories (Cocktail Bar by Norah Hoult, and The Salesman by George Everest), as well as reviews etc.
Condition
Good condition, with a little fading and foxing to the covers' edges.
