This is an original signed handwritten letter from Dan Leno sent from Drury Lane, undated. The notepaper measures 17.5 × 11.5cm, and has been pasted on to a piece of card measuring 24 × 16.5cm.
The letter reads "Drury Lane, Dear Madame, Please forward enclosed for the poor little chap and oblige, Your sincerely, Dan Leno". The address has been snipped off at the bottom of the sheet. Dan Leno (1860–1904) was a leading English music hall comedian and musical theatre actor during the late Victorian era.
Condition
Good condition. There is some tanning to the letter and light spotted foxing to the card. Leno's signature is clear.
