Printing Details

Second edition. Bound in the original green cloth with gilt titling / design to spine and upper board. Top edge gilt, map endpapers by E H Shepard. 19.5 × 12.5cm, 158pp.

A A Milne's first Winnie. Winnie-the-Pooh may be a bear of very little brain, but thanks to his friends Piglet, Eeyore and, of course, Christopher Robin, he's never far from an adventure. In this story Pooh gets into a tight place, nearly catches a Woozle and heads off on an 'expotition' to the North Pole with the other animals.

Condition

A nice sharp copy. There is some mottling to the green cloth but the boards are clean and there is negligible bumping to the corners, the gilt titling and decoration to the spine and upper board is crisp. Previous owner's neat gift inscription and tanning to the ffep, with tanning also to the rfep. Minor foxing to the page edges. The main body of text in lovely clean condition, and the inner binding very secure. Overall, a very nice copy indeed.
