An illustrated gazetteer of East Suffolk originally issued in parts, subtitled "Giving an account of every Town and Village in the Eastern Division of the County, a description of every Church (whether now used or in ruins), and a short account of the old Castles, Monasteries, Halls, and other Buildings. Also containing allusions to all the chief historical events with which this very interesting part of East Anglia is associated, and notes on the history of the chief local families, and archaeological discoveries in the district. [With] 566 illustrations of the different places mentioned in the letterpress. These view have been specially produced, at great expense, to render the work more attractive, complete, and up-to-date".

Condition

Good condition with wear. The gilt titling to spine has worn away, and there is rubbing and bumping to the spine ends and corners. The contents remains well-bound and readable, but with some age-relating marking to the top margin of a few pages. It remains in strong readable condition.
