Single map, printed on black paper and laid on card with two eyelets to the top of the sheet for hanging. Approx 37.5 × 30cm.
A late Victorian lunar map, issued through a firm of London opticians (Horne, Thornthwaite & Wood). The map showing the craters and oceans (about 300 are named), with the south at the top and the north at the bottom. The reverse has a description of the Moon and it's major geographical features, printed in two columns.
Condition
Good condition. Some tanning but all remaining readable and an attractive item.
