P.H. Ditchfield’s London Survivals is a nostalgic and scholarly "itinerary" of the historical structures that managed to escape the Great Fire of 1666 and the rapid urbanization of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Ditchfield was an antiquarian who wrote this book as a pleas for preservation and against the "ruthless hand of the destroyer" (modern developers) before it is completely modernized. Illustrated throughout with pen and ink drawings.
Condition
A good copy. There is some bumping to the corners, and light scattered foxing throughout (most pages clean) and the book remains in strong readable condition.
Books are currently zero-rated for duty (as of January 2026), so the price shown is the price you pay.
