Fifth Spanish edition. Paperback with original wraparound band. 19.5 × 13cm, 430pp. Spanish text.
Llosa's second complex novel that famously uses a non-linear, fragmented structure to weave together five main plotlines. It is set in two contrasting Peruvian landscapes: the dusty, desert city of Piura and the dense, wild Amazonian jungle (Santa María de Nieva) and the worlds are linked by the characters' movements over a 40-year period.
Condition
Fair to good, with fading to the spine and tanning to the cover's and pages' edges. Bumped a bit to the spine ends but quite rare to have the wraparound band present. The book remains in good readable condition.
