This book presents a summary of the canals and waterways of England and Wales, giving both historical and geographical details of each including falls, locks, towpaths etc as well as a brief history and the proprietors and officers. A pocket at the rear of the book houses a large map of England and Wales showing the canals, boundaries and railways.
Condition
Fair to good condition and a good reference copy. The inner binding is shaky, with the hinges cracked (but not open). The text is complete and in strong readable condition. The map in the rear pocket is torn to the folds but is still usable with gentle handling.
