This copy was given by the Scottish journalist James Bone to the Scottish composer Iain Hamilton, with a gift inscription dated 1951 from Surrey. [It looks like Hamilton didn't read this gift as the pages remains uncut!]
A treatise on the Scottish parliament, with chapters on officers of state, clergy, nobility. Barons of the Shires, the "Riding" of Parliament, the Lords of the Articles, rules of debate etc etc, with an appendix of 34 documents dating from 1427 to 1701.
Condition
A good plus reading copy. Some fading and bumping to the boards. As mentioned, some pages uncut to the top edge. Light tanning to the margins but otherwise in strong readable condition.
