Printing Details
Slim pamphlet, stapled binding. 20.5 × 13.5cm, 5pp.
A rare piece of ephemera concerning the young British artist Malcolm Jepps. He attended Watford Art School and St Martin's School of Art. From 1950 he became a committed Communist, joining the Young Communist League. He died aged 21 and had he lived he would have become an important British artist in the socialist realist school. There is scant information on him, and most comes from this brief catalogue. There are no examples of his work and this consists of a 2 page tribute and a list of the exhibits. The show was at Holborn Hall in WC1, and was opened by John Gollan, the general secretary of the CPGB.
Condition
Good condition but the staples have started to rust and the binding is a little loose.
