A posthumous collection of essays and pieces by Thomas Peter Ellis (1873–1936), most with a distinctly Welsh flavour, many having appeared in The Welsh Outlook. Ellis had returned to his native Wales after a lengthy time in India as a judge, and here presents his recollections and impressions of things Welsh, such as "Welsh Fairies", "Owain Glyndyr and the Church", "Pre-Historic Merioneth" and "The Women of Wales a Thousand Years Ago". Other topics include "An Indian Murder Mystery".
