This is a framed and glazed hand-signed photograph of the novelist John Galsworthy (1867–1933). The frame measures 39.5 × 28cm, the photograph is 20 × 15cm and is laid on tissue which floats in the frame (ie not mounted). Galsworthy has signed the tissue ""With good wishes, John Galsworthy, 1927", and it is also signed in pencil by Elliott & Fry.

John Galsworthy was a Nobel Prize winning author, best known for his trilogy of novels collectively called The Forsyte Saga, and two later trilogies, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter.

Condition

This photograph is in very good condition for age. Some dusting to the edges and a few small bumps to the frame but otherwise clean and ready for hanging. A label to the reverse shows it was framed by Milne & Co of Aldwych, London.
