Prize label laid in to the front pastedown, awarding this copy to Monsieur Ducos Barthelemy from the Societe Philomathique de Bordeaux in June 1869.

French scientist and author Louis Figuier's study of botany, plants, trees etc, illustrated with 415 engravings, mostly within the text but some full page.

Condition

A good solid copy but with heavy discoloration to the pastedowns and endpapers, and spotted foxing throughout. The inner binding is secure.
