Early edition. Hardback, quarter leather with green blindstamped cloth boards. Gilt titling and printed decoration to spine. 27 × 19.5cm, xii + 1294pp + index and further plates. French text.
A profusely illustrated guide to human health, well-being, anatomy, illness, well-being, and injuries. It was first published in 1912, and covers everything from Abaisse-langue (a tongue depressor) through to Zymotherapie. It is illustrated with 2462 engravings, 33 colour plates etc etc and at the end of the book a plate of the anatomy of the human body with fold out organs.
Condition
This copy is in very good condition for age. There is light tanning to the pages but the inner binding is secure. There is some rubbing to the spine ends, and some fraying to the cloth along the bottom edge but otherwise this remains an attractive copy.
