A novel of romance, affairs, lovers, marriages etc. The author was the daughter of master calligrapher Edward Johnston (he designed Johnston, a sans-serif typeface that was used throughout the London Underground). She married the graphic designer Macdonald Gill (to whom this novel is dedicated).
Condition
A good reading copy of a fairly scarce title. The blue cloth has some heavy fading at the head of the spine and some spotted foxing to the page edges, but remaining in strong readable condition.
