A historical adventure for young adults. Set in the 1850s in the age of the clipper ships. The young wife of the clipper Neptune's Car takes command of the ship after her husband falls ill, the first mate is arrested for insubordination, and the second mate (an experienced but illiterate sailor) can't navigate the ship. In addition to sailing around Cape Horn, she also acts as nurse and physician to her seriously ill husband.
Condition
The book is in good plus condition with a little foxing and tanning to the page edges. The dustwrapper is complete but quite heavily rubbed to the edges.
