This third volume of Woolf's After the Deluge, continuing on from his 1931 & 1939 two books, in which his main theme is the contrast between the structure of society and the 'communal psychology' of Europe before and after the Revolution of 1789. In this volume, he critiques the irrationality and inhumanity of communism, particularly Stalin's regime, and condemns the use of ruthless means to achieve social goals, which he argues corrupts societal values.
Condition
Good condition. The dustwrapper has light wear (a few surface marks, some tanning to the spine), and it has been neatly price-clipped. The book is in sound, clean condition but with spotted foxing to the page edges, heaviest to the top.
