An engraving of Dunfermline Abbey in Fifeshire, with later hand-colouring. Framed and glazed, the frame measuring 31 × 27cm, the mount's aperture measuring 19 × 15.5cm. The mount with faint gilt margin.
This engraving shows Dunfermline Abbey, with waterwheels and sheep in the foreground, the spire and ruins behind.
It was published in The Antiquities of England and Wales which was issued in parts by Alexander Hogg between 1787 and 1789.
Condition
Good condition for age. There is some tanning to the engraving and some slight chipping to the frame but remains attractive and is ready to hang.
