Printing Details
A rather charming sepia photograph on board mount, the whole measuring 23 × 17.5cm, the image measuring 15.5 × 11.5cm. It was produced by Tom Reveley of Market Place, Wantage.
The image shows an outdoor class with about 25 Edwardian pupils and three teachers. A pen annotation to the rear reads "St Katherine's School, Wantage, Summer 1899", and two of the teachers have had their name written below the image in biro (Miss Mary Ivens and Miss Elsie Ivens) with two of the children's names in pencil (Betty & Dolly).
Condition
It is in good condition for age, but with some foxing and tanning, and a little surface wear to the mount. The colouring of the image is most accurate in picture no 2.
