A late 18th century engraving with later hand-colouring, "The Ancient Archiepiscopal Palace at Maidstone now the Property of the Right Hon. Lord Romney". Single sheet measuring 39.5 × 24.5cm, and by Richard Bernard Godfrey. Unframed and not mounted.
The engraving is taken from Halsted's The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent. and shows the Archbishop's Palace at Maidstone.
Condition
Fair condition. The engraving is heavily tanned, but would have it's appearance improved immeasurably by being mounted and framed.
