A popular cookery book of the early twentieth century, this book offers advice for diet in sickness and nutritional values, followed by recipes for meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, eggs, sweets etc, with further chapters on peptonized foods, diets for corpulency, diabetes, consumptives, eczema, and old age, and for the gouty.
A pencil ownership inscription opposite the title page reads "E Foskett, Preliminary Training School, Guy's Hospital, London, SE".
Condition
Good condition for age, some rubbing, bumping and marking to the cloth binding, and light scattered foxing throughout but remaining in strong readable condition.
