Printing Details
This is a card page from an album, with a large albumen print on either side. The card measures 35 × 26.5, and albumen prints are 26.5 × 21cm. Believed to date to the late 1890s.
On one side is a charming photograph of a young late Victorian or early Edwardian girl sitting on a handsome white horse, there is some pencil annotation but the corner has been torn off so is incomplete. The reverse shows a groom and black horse standing in front of the same doors, and the pencil annotation reads "Eglantine and Carmelo"
Condition
The card is spotted foxing and marking, and is a little wavy, but the photographs remain in good condition and would look superb framed. They have a thin tanned mark to the edges which does not detract from them. As mentioned, one corner of the card mount is missing, not affecting the image.
