Printing Details

Here are six volumes from Marcel Proust's Remembrance of Things Past, (A la Recherche du Temps Perdu). All are hardback but various publishers and editions.

1. Cities of the Plain, translated by C K Scott Moncrieff. (Chatto & Windus, 1936). Hardback, first printing in the Phoenix Library edition. Good condition but some rubbing and marking to boards.

2. Cities of the Plain, Part Two, translated by C K Scott Moncrieff. Illustrated by Philippe Jullian. (Chatto & Windus, 1967). Hardback in dustwrapper. Light rubbing to the wrapper but otherwise a nice copy.

3. The Sweet Cheat Gone, translated by C K Scott Moncrieff. (The Modern Library, New York, 1948). Hardback, good condition, some fading and rubbing to the boards.

4 & 5. The Captive (Part One and Two), translated by C K Scott Moncrieff. Illustrated by Philippe Jullian. (Chatto & Windus, 1957). First illustrated editions. Hardback. Fair condition as both have mottled spotting to the boards but the contents in strong readable condition.

6. Time Regained, translated by C K Scott Moncrieff. Illustrated by Philippe Jullian. (Chatto & Windus, 1970). Light rubbing to wrapper, the book in good condition.

Condition

All six books are in good readable condition, but with some rubbing / spotting / wear. They all have the same previous owner's name.
