First edition. Hardback, bound in blue cloth boards with gilt titling to spine and Printed titling and design to upper board. Untrimmed page edges. 21 × 13.5cm, 246pp [1].

Nancy Price was an actress, animal activist, and author, and this was one of her early titles. As the title suggests, it is her wanderings around the Lake District as she describes the scenery, places and people she meets. This copy illustrated with a map and sketches of places and people. This 1914 first printing is uncommon.

Condition

Good condition. The spine is faded and there is some rubbing and bumping to the boards. The pages have a little light speckled foxing and age-toning but otherwise the book remains in strong readable condition.
